What is the Value of a Customer?

I come to this, i get a lot of young guns complaining that there is no profit or that there is no value derived from working for set asset. But no delivered tasks can be labeled as non value generating. There may not be any immediate justifiable revenue but if you go a bit calculative considering a period of time. There is a revenue. That you can see when you look for finding a Value of a Customer. Here is a simple formula by Jay Abraham which is actually a rational way to value a customer. What we do here is simply evaluating the minor profit and reducing the costs of marketing. LV = (P x F) x N – MC Here’s what it all means: LV is the life time value of a customer P is the average profit margin from each sale F is the number of times a customer buys each year N is the number of years customers stay with you MC is the marketing cost per customer (total costs/number of customers) Once you know how much you need to spend to attract a new customer, you will know how much of an incentive you can offer to a business to help attract new customers. EG a Client That buys a Software worth 1,00,000/- twice: 20000(P) x 2(F) x 1(N) – 2000(MC) 40000-2000 38000 is my LV (Life Time Value of a Customer over a Year) A client for facebook advertisement that spends 100$ a month (100$ @ 106 = 10600/- +20% Service = 2120(P)) 2120(p) x 12(F) x 1(N) – 1000(MC) 24440/- *Jay Abraham, He is known for his work in developing strategies for direct-response marketing in the 1970s. In 2000, Forbes listed him as one of the top five executive coaches in the US

5 April 2018

Has been an interesting day. I am unable to sleep and hence i choose the blog to empty my rambling thoughts. My brain keeps talking to me. And keeps giving cues on incidents that took place about 5 hours ago. It was a simple confrontation made by a client who felt cheated, (Valid- yet cannot be justified, or rather had her Internet cut due to non payment of dues as was previously assured. Or probably found the best way out of a debt is to simply use the broom stick and start rattling off till one can see the dust fill the air. Call it dirty then) I had a simple thought in my mind. How do i help this person clear off large sum that has plagued her business. All the opportunities that she had to forfeit. All the non-materialized investments. (All of which now I think was a fabricated story recited to everyone, the role of a victim being excellently enacted) My intention was to give her well known brand name a stronger customer presence and relationship. All i had placed was a simple non fancy product that would help her connect customers more accurately. Letting the pictures do the talking for her instead. Sure it was to take time to teach, explain the details. Sure I knew i had to help her as no body around her would really pitch in. But the product has proved how powerful it is. There are case studies of successful stories. But i also had never seen someone stoop so low, well a certain Mr.”Being Human” threw 4 Credit Cards at me to show how easy it is to get credit cards in Nepal. What was the statement, “ill show you my blazing guns”?. Well Mr “Being Human” you may have all the connections in town flashing it around to bully. All the connections that I had was my Head Attached to my Shoulder and My Feet on the Ground, nothing superficial. Further, at point blank he fires a Colt that screams, cheater, no per-assessment nor post; How does he know I cheated. Has he walked in my shoes before, I have walked in his, during my stint as a Brand Manager, still i did not find it worth fiddling for accolades. Nevertheless the adventurous day has been an interesting experience. 1) Women and Technology don’t go hand in hand, especially poisonous when they are surrounded by debts. 2) Men will always have a knack for becoming a Knight in Shining Armour. Age of the woman doesn’t matter, aesthetics does it all. And the woman’s statement really made it, she said, no body has heard of me, nor referred me nor seen me, pointing out to my non background influences and the infamous product. Insult? Well hell no, I am a self made- Finally after days , and years of walking alone, earing my own rags and riches. I still have non to claim a fame or fortune. Yet that statement made it home. “Clearly, I have earned the title – I Self Made Myself”

Firescue

Something I found innovative, interesting and amazing. And I will be adding it in my product portfolio. Firescue, not an out of the blue product in Nepal. Firescue, a production of Gracia Company, is highly demanded in Japan along with other European countries. The product that can extinguish any wild fire is available in 650 ml bottle. Its a throw type fire extinguisher, all you do is throw the bottle in the fire. The bottle is to break, dispelling vapor/gas/liquid spray that will kill the flame as soon as 20 sec. Also keeping the burnt surface cool. As opposed to the pressure based cylinders, Firescue is Maintenance free. Needs no technical knowledge or constant gauge check. Price: 4000/- Only.
